My experience working with Heidi was deeply disappointing. I entered a competitive bidding process for a home she listed, largely because of the advertised cooled and carpeted shed, which Heidi promoted as ideal for a home office in both her video and ad copy.However, the inspection tells a very different story. The shed’s roof is 28 years old and vunerable to leaks, leading to widespread mold that rendered the space unsafe for me to occupy, as I am allergic to mold. The electrical outlets along one side were dead, and when the inspector turned on the cooling unit that had been unplugged during my tour, it filled the room with mold-laced air. Yet none of this was disclosed. The property disclosure form mentioned the main dwelling’s roof replacement in 2020, but said nothing about the shed, despite it being a central selling point of Heidi's video!To make matters worse, there was an undisclosed lightning strike on the property and two dead trees dangerously close to the house, serious risks that were also omitted from the disclosure.I would not have entered, much less won, the bidding war had I known the true condition of the property, especially that the shed will take so much work to make into a home office, over $6,000 in repairs. Now, I’m left with a costly and stressful situation instead of the turnkey home office that was advertised. In my opinion, Heidi's conduct reflects a disregard for buyers and for the ethical standards of her profession. Navigating the purchase of your first home is tough! Finding a realtor is even more challenging. It seems like everyone is selling houses, but how do you know who to choose? Heidi and Erika both helped us tremendously throughout the process. Erika was always available to call or text throughout the process of buying. Their recommendation on a vendor to use for our inspection was SPOT ON. I can't recommend a better group to work with.

Heidi Harris was referred to me by my mortgage broker when I wanted to target key neighborhoods in the Raleigh area. Living in Cary and the West Coast for many years I didn't have the insider knowledge or contacts that Heidi had for knowing what was coming on the market or pricing in that area of Raleigh. I looked at a total of three houses in my targeted neighborhood over a 6 month period with her and her team; most of them the first showing as she knew they were coming on the market so we were on top of the listing. The team knew exactly what I wanted and how to help me get my offer to the top of the pile. I felt good amount the two offers I did put down and am thrilled with the final house I waited for. When it came to due diligence and closing Renee was fabulous and helped me with any questions. She even got me an extra walk through to help with some renovation work I wanted to estimate out. They were all a pleasure and I was thrilled to have found them. The whole process was simple, easy, and seamless. Heidi Harris is the worst real estate agent I have ever run across in my 57 years of buying and selling property. In 2014, we built a house in a new subdivision of Raleigh North Carolina, with many upgrades such as hardwood floors, electric vehicle charging station, top-of-the-line carpet. When it came time to list our home for sale recently, she recommended a list price below market and did not provide any justification for the lower price when asked. She also recommended two vendors who did terrible work and were not responsive to requests to remedy the defects. In the end, we terminated her contract and went with a different agent. The list price from the new agent was twenty percent higher than Heidi's list price and our home sold in 22 days for the new list price. In effect, the higher price paid for the commission of the new agent and netted an additional thirty thousand proceeds over what we would have gotten with Heidi. In my opinion, I would avoid this agent like the plague. Caveat emptor, or in this case, seller beware. There are plenty of great agents out there, but Heidi Harris is not one.

We highly recommend using Heidi and her team. Emily, Renee & Heidi from start to finish delivered exceptional professional care to both the purchase of our new home and the sale of our existing home. The sale would not have happened had Heidi and Renee not taken on the added responsibility of “training” the buyers agent.
